What you’re actually buying
At $3.49, the value proposition here is simple: you are paying for convenience and a specific aesthetic result. The pack delivers 27 distinct brushes that are ready to drop into your Procreate workspace. There is no complex installation process or heavy file bloat to worry about; the entire download is a lightweight 9.05 MB, meaning it will not clutter your iPad storage or slow down your device. The focus on “effects” suggests these are not just basic round pencils. In the world of digital comics and graphic novels, the difference between a flat line and a dynamic, energetic one often comes down to the brush’s texture and pressure response. By bundling 27 options, Attki gives you enough variety to handle different line weights, from delicate character details to bolder action lines, without forcing you to buy a 500-brush mega-pack that you might only use 10% of. It is a curated selection for the artist who knows they want that clean, polished anime look and wants to achieve it with minimal setup. (Anime Effects brushpack!)
Why it’s on our radar
This pack stands out because it solves a very specific micro-problem at a price point that removes the risk. Many brush packs are priced at $15 or $20, which can feel like a gamble if you are just testing whether digital inking is for you. At under $4, the Anime Effects brushpack! is an impulse-buy-friendly entry that lets you test the workflow immediately.
The seller, Attki, clearly understands the tiered needs of the community. By offering this 27-brush set alongside larger options (like the 77 or 510-brush packs mentioned in their other listings), they are catering to the artist who wants a focused toolset rather than a warehouse of brushes. It is a smart, low-barrier option for creators in the Comics & Graphic Novels niche who need reliable line tools without committing to a premium price tag. (Anime Effects brushpack!)
What actually matters
Before you hit the buy button, keep these three practical points in mind to ensure this fits your current setup: (Anime Effects brushpack!)
- Procreate Exclusivity: The listing is explicit that this is a Procreate only pack. If you are working in Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop, or any other tablet software, these files will not work for you. Check your app of choice before purchasing. (Anime Effects brushpack!)
- File Size and Storage: At 9.05 MB, this is a tiny download. It is perfect for artists who are running low on iPad storage space. You won’t be sacrificing gigabytes for a small brush set. (Anime Effects brushpack!)
- The “Free” Alternative: The seller offers a free version with 5 brushes. If you are on the fence, you can try that first to see if the brush feel matches your hand. However, the paid 27-brush pack gives you significantly more versatility for the same low price, making the paid version the better value if you are already committed to buying. FAQ
Do I need to be a pro to use these brushes? No. These are designed to be “ready to use.” You can import them into Procreate and start drawing immediately. The 27 brushes cover a range of line weights and effects, so you can find the one that feels natural to your style without needing to tweak advanced settings. (Anime Effects brushpack!)
Is this worth it compared to the free 5-brush version? If you are just curious, the free version is a great risk-free test. However, for $3.49, you get more than five times the variety. That extra range of brushes often makes the difference between a finished piece and one that feels inconsistent. If you plan to use Procreate regularly for anime or comic art, the paid Anime Effects brushpack! is the smarter investment.
Can I use these brushes on other devices? No. The format is specific to Procreate on iPad. If you use a Windows tablet or a different drawing app, this pack will not be compatible. (Anime Effects brushpack!)
Bottom line
If you are an iPad artist looking to elevate your line art without breaking the bank, the Anime Effects brushpack! is a no-brainer. It is cheap, lightweight, and focused. You get 27 specialized tools for less than the cost of a coffee, and you can be drawing in minutes. If clean, dynamic anime lines are your goal, this is a low-risk way to get there.
