If you’re looking for a structured way to dive into Qi Gong — specifically, the ancient Five Animal Play system — the Five Animal Play Qi Gong Online Learning Program from Tom Bisio is a $175 option that ships a clear stack of materials. It’s not just a vague collection of videos or a half-finished guide — this is a bundle that includes written materials, HD videos, and a range of focused manuals designed to help you walk through each animal’s movements. The question is whether that structure actually matches the promise of 130 pages of written material and 44 HD videos (Streaming Only). If that’s the kind of deliverable you’re after, this might be the one to consider.

Quick answer

What you’re actually buying

This program is more than just a collection of videos. It includes a 90-page Student Manual priced at $10, a 40-page Manual on Qi Gong Basics at $5, and a Welcome Letter — all of which are designed to help you understand the philosophy and mechanics behind Five Animal Play. Then there are the 44 HD videos, which are streaming-only, and split into eight videos for each of the five animals: Bear, Deer, Bird, Tiger, and Monkey. Each set of videos is priced at $50, which adds up to a total of $250 in video content alone — but the program bundles it all together at $175.

What makes this bundle stand out is the specificity of the content. Each animal has its own set of movements, and the videos are designed to walk you through the unique gait and energy patterns associated with each one. The Bear, for example, is all about stability and grounding, while the Tiger focuses on power and strength. This isn’t just about copying movements — it’s about engaging with the internal energy and spirit of each animal.

The written materials are also a strong point. The 90-page Student Manual is a comprehensive guide that walks you through the system, and the 40-page Qi Gong Basics Manual provides a solid foundation for those new to the practice. Combined with the Welcome Letter, which sets the tone and expectations for the program, this is a well-rounded offering that’s more than just videos.

If you’re looking for a structured, all-in-one package that includes both written and video content, this is a $175 bundle that delivers on its promise — and then some. It’s not the cheapest option on the market, but for the depth and clarity it offers, it’s a solid choice for anyone serious about learning Five Animal Play.
