What you’re actually buying
This bundle is a free story, but with a $99.99 price tag that includes more than just the .mobi file. It ships a printable PDF, a full cast audiobook, and even a handy guide on how to sideload the .mobi file to your Kindle. That’s not just a story—it’s a package designed to be accessible, whether you’re a Kindle user who prefers .mobi, someone who wants a hard copy for offline reading, or a listener who prefers audiobooks.
The story itself is a prequel to San Andreas Shifters, exploring how Alec the Alpha and Marvin the merman first meet. It’s a short tale of seduction, selkies, and sushi, with a mix of werewolves, selkie mafia, and fish—all wrapped in a cute, flirty, and slightly chaotic narrative. The story is free, but the bundle is $99.99—a price point that’s unusual for a short story unless you’re paying for the additional formats and extras.
One reviewer noted that the story is “Great story very cute meet up of the 2 MCs can’t wait to read the rest of the series now” — a sentiment that aligns with the structured, ready-to-go nature of the bundle. If you’re looking for a free story that’s easy to access, but also want the additional formats and guidance for sideloading, this $99.99 bundle might be the complete package you’re looking for.
The bundle includes three distinct formats: a Kindle .mobi file, a printable PDF, and a full cast audiobook. This is rare for a short story, making it a multi-format deliverable that’s designed for different reading preferences. Additionally, the guide on how to sideload the .mobi file to your Kindle is a bonus that adds practical value for Kindle users who may be unfamiliar with the process.
The $99.99 price is unusual for a short story, but it’s justified by the additional formats and guidance included. This is a complete package that goes beyond just the story, making it interesting for those who want accessibility across formats.
