This is the sixth installment of The Order of the Stick, a long-running fantasy-comedy webcomic that has grown in both scope and popularity with each volume. For $19, you’re getting a PDF download of the full book, which includes 356 pages of comics, bonus material, and additional features that make it more than just a collection of strips—it’s a complete story arc.
Inside, you’ll find all the comics from #947 to #1189, which is a massive chunk of the series’ ongoing narrative. There are also more than 10 all-new bonus comics sprinkled throughout the collection, giving fans a few extra treats. The book also includes a recap of events to-date by “Durkon Thundershield”, a foreword by Haley Starshine, a never-before-seen map of the Northern Continent, and author commentary that’s both insightful and entertaining.
If you’re a fan of the series, this is a must-have. It’s the largest volume yet and includes a newly improved art style, which adds a fresh look to the familiar characters. The only downside is that, as the author jokes, it’s also the biggest adventure ever to take place largely inside a dwarven cleric’s subconscious—but that’s just part of the charm.
