_SPEC'S Core Brush Kit: is this $5 stack worth it for Drawing & Painting?

What you’re actually buying
_SPEC’S Core Brush Kit from _spec sits at about $5—cheap enough to try, expensive enough that you should still know what lands in your downloads folder. The pitch is direct—“Spend more time painting with ur brush, not searching for it 🤓☝️” That’s only interesting if the download list actually looks like a system, not a pep talk.
What makes _SPEC’S Core Brush Kit interesting is the bundle density: Core Brushes: 6, Erasers: 2, and Bonus Tools: 2—plus Compatibility: Procreate, Photoshop CC, CSP, Commercial Usage: Yes. At $5, that’s the kind of multi-piece stack people usually pay separately for—or never finish cobbling together themselves.
If the promise matches a problem you already feel, give _SPEC’S Core Brush Kit five focused minutes: previews, file list, and a couple of reviews are enough to know if $5 is a smart yes.
A 5-star buyer is willing to recommend _SPEC’S Core Brush Kit after using it — that’s a fit check, not a star count. Gumroad reviews quote them: “very good quality, highly recommend :D.”
Why it’s on our radar
_SPEC’S Core Brush Kit is on the list because the pack is unusually specific for $5: Core Brushes: 6, Erasers: 2, Bonus Tools: 2. That’s the kind of density you only notice once you read past the cover.

What actually matters
Before you spend, run it against your week:
- Stack fit — Do you actually need what _SPEC’S Core Brush Kit emphasizes (Core Brushes: 6, Erasers: 2), or are you collecting PDFs?
- Time-to-first-use — Can you start within a day, or is this a long curriculum?
- Price honesty — Is $5 worth it if you use even half of it?
If those still point yes, check _SPEC’S Core Brush Kit pricing and files.
Mid-check
If you’re still on the fence, open _SPEC’S Core Brush Kit, skim two reviews (if any), and ask: would I use this this week?
